About

We teach Mudgal the way it deserves to be taught.

The Mudgal is one of the oldest strength tools in the world. For generations it was central to the akhada — India's wrestling and warrior gymnasiums — and to the lives of pehelwans, soldiers and saints who needed strength they could rely on in the real world.

Today, the Mudgal is having a global revival. Functional fitness coaches in the United States, Europe and the Gulf are re-discovering it. But most courses available in India treat the Mudgal as a novelty — a weekend workshop, a viral reel, a movement to perform.

Akhaada Institute of Movement Science was built to change that. We treat the Mudgal as what it is: a serious strength tool that deserves a serious curriculum. Eleven classes. Six dedicated to anatomy and biomechanics. Three to applied Mudgal movement. Two to foundations and assessment.

Our students leave knowing not just how to swing a Mudgal, but why every joint, plane and muscle behaves the way it does under offset rotational load. They leave able to coach, correct, programme and certify the practice for others.

Asian strength. Modern movement science. Taught by a coach who lives both.
